February 29th: Fill the frame…

‘That’s rule number one for a photographer, isn’t it? Fill your frame?’
David Cronenberg, Consumed

And that’s it for Feb Photo Fest 2020! What a brilliant month!!

I always love this blogging photography meme and there have been some ridiculously strong photos this year. Do click the button below and explore – there are some fabulous images to find!

My final photo also fulfils the Sinful Sunday prompt of ‘Fill the Frame’ – making the most of the Saturday sunlight streaming through the window.

February 23rd: Nine 1/2 Weeks…

‘How does it feel like to be out of control?’
John, Nine 1/2 Weeks

This is my last movie poster recreation this FebPhotoFest that ties in with a movie review – you can read what I think of Nine 1/2 Weeks, Mickey Rourke and kink in movies on my movie blog.

I love the movie but it also has a great poster – his dominant hands, her lips – so I had to attempt to recreate it.

Our version of Nine 1/2 Weeks poster

Our version has ended up a bit more romantic than dominant, but I’m still really pleased with it!

February 16th: The Graduate…

‘Mrs. Robinson, if you don’t mind my saying so, this conversation is getting a little strange.’
Benjamin Braddock, The Graduate

This is really late. It’s not 16th anymore and it’s not Sunday but my post is finished!!

This weekend has been quite something. Hopefully I won’t be so disorganised for the rest of FebPhotoFest. And thanks again to EA for being a willing participant in my schemes!

I’m part way through reviewing the Graduate over on my movie blog – check it out here when it’s done.

February 9th: Lolita…

‘I’m really sorry that I cheated so much. But I guess that’s just the way things are.’
Lolita

This is late because we were moving house this weekend and there was chaos everywhere!! But also because it was surprisingly difficult to take! If I hadn’t already written a review of the movie over at Sex, Love and Videotape, I might have changed my mind about using this movie poster in my collection…

A remake of the Lolita poster

But I’m happy with the result, and I’m even happier that I now have some incredible heart sunglasses ?

February 2nd: American Beauty…

‘Remember those posters that said, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life”? Well, that’s true of every day but one – the day you die.’
Lester Burnham, American Beauty

For a few FebPhotoFest posts this month and definitely those on Sundays, I’m going to (try to) recreate a famous sexy movie poster!

You may or may not know that I also write a feminist sex positive movie blog over at Sex, Love and Videotape and I wanted to tie these posters in with my reviews.

First up in this crossover challenge is American Beauty – 1999’s Best Picture Oscar winner but not nearly my favourite movie from that year. Is it feminist? Is it sex positive? Is it good?! Click here to read my review….
