I posted my first Sinful Sunday image in March 2015, right at the beginning of my sex blogging journey, and was welcomed into a wonderful community that changed my life – through the connection to the man who would become the love of my life, the friends within whom I have shared the most important moments of these 10 years, or through the relationship that I forged with my body by photographing it, sharing it, and loving it.

I cannot imagine what my life would be like without Sinful Sunday, and I am so grateful to Molly for creating this space for us all to explore and play and be our real, beautiful selves.

As you can no doubt tell from the two year gap between this and my previous post, which in itself was the first for a while, I have drifted away from the sex blogging world over the last few years. I could blame having two young children and a full time job, but I think it’s also a consequence of the changing online world and its ongoing hostility towards erotic content. It has become harder and harder to post adult content as more and more regulations have limited our reach, our engagement, and the spaces where we can safely publish. Molly is finally closing this meme because the Online Safety Bill has made it impossible.

But, as Girl on the Net, so rightly wrote in her recent post on the subject, what we all do here in Sinful Sunday and sex writing is good, actually, and the world is becoming a little bit less beautiful, a little bit less inclusive and less sex positive for the loss of this meme. And that is very sad indeed.

So here’s to all of us beautiful people who have gained so much from Sinful Sunday and from the community Molly has created and nurtured over the years since April 2011. I am so grateful for everything that I have gained each week that I have taken part and everyone that I have met through it, and for all of the beautiful, sexy, hot, glamorous, artistic, and just fabulous photos that have been shared.
