‘We are not meant to spend the rest of our lives underground. We need to go home and tell a strange story that no one will believe.’
– Courtney M. Privett – Cavelost
As a rule, I don’t like caves. I seem to visit them quite often but I don’t like feeling the weight of the world above me, the claustrophobia, and the potential for disaster if the entrance is blocked, no matter how unlikely that may be.
But when our holiday home has a series of caves dug into the hills behind it as wine cellars, I had to explore them. And when it was over 37 degrees in the sun, it’s important to seek cool and refreshing shade…

This is so gorgeous and atmospheric!
This is an incredible picture. I like how the edges are a bit out of focus. It enhances your shape even more. I love how you’re looking at the light as if you’re exploring and I really like how you captured the size of this space
Wow … what a lovely location to find … and, of course, a lovely bottom to show off !!!

I love it! And such a lovely vintage hiding within 😉
Of course the wine cellars are worth exploring. And if there is also wine there, then this is generally very good!
