I have really missed my friends during lockdown. I thought I was doing OK – video calls and WhatsApp check ins have been great and I feel closer to my distant friends than I did before, but I have still missed my friends. Those who live close and those who we’d normally see more often.

And so EA’s birthday coming around as lockdown is easing was just the excuse that we needed. It meant that we are finally able to see each other again and it was wonderful. It was wonderful!

Drinking wine, eating BBQ food, catching up and chatting and just spending time with each other. It was everything that I have been missing.

And, of course, when these are sex Twitter friends and when there’s a fire pit providing atmospheric plumes of smoke, there really was only one way that the evening was going to end…

It was the best night!
