Sinful Sunday: Moulin Rouge…

‘No matter what you say the show is ending our way. You’ve gotta stand your ground for freedom, beauty, truth, and love.’

Moulin Rouge

This month’s Sinful Sunday prompt could have been made for me. The single keyword was ‘Movies’ and followers during this year’s FebPhotoFest will already know that I love love love recreating famous sexy movie posters!

So what movie could I do next? I chose to hand the responsibility over to all of you to decide. I also write a feminist movie blog over at Sex, Love and Videotape, and I was due to write about a musical this weekend. I opened a poll to pick the movie, committing to taking a photo inspired by which ever one was chosen as my review for this week.

As it is, that particular review isn’t ready. June has been surprisingly hectic! Instead, I have an amazing guest post from Quinn Rhodes this week, giving an insightful trans perspective on Boy Meets Girl so do check it out!

But Moulin Rouge still won the poll and Moulin Rouge is an incredible film that I am really excited to write about next week. Look out for my review next Friday and, in the meantime as a teaser, here is a red curtain glamorous shot inspired by that most fabulous (but not very feminist) of movies…
