One of many highlights of 2017 was Smutathon – a charity writing marathon organised by the wonderful Amy from Coffee and Kink. A small group of sex writers and bloggers from around the world gathered on 1st July 2017 to furiously write as much filth as we could in 12 hours, and we managed to raise an extraordinary £2000 for our chosen charities (Backlash UK and Rape Crisis England and Wales). It was absolutely amazing and something that I am ridiculously proud to have been part of.

And I’m excited to announce that Smutathon is back!! On August 11th from 10am to 10pm, eight extraordinary writers are gathering in an AirBnB is a secret location (well, Cheshire) to write as much as we can in the same 12 hours. Others are also participating remotely so if you want to get involved, contact Amy!

This year we are raising money for Abortion Support Network. As Amy writes in her post on this event, this charity was ‘chosen in honour of the recent “Repeal the 8th” campaign in the Republic of Ireland. ASN is an amazing organisation that supports people who need to travel from Ireland or the Isle of Man to England in order to access abortion. They, like us, believe that abortion should be free, safe and legal. From their website:

“ASN is not a campaigning or lobbying organisation. While other organisations campaign for much needed law reform, our volunteers work hard to provide immediate, practical support to women who are unable to access safe and legal abortion in their own countries.”

The biggest change from last year is that we are hosting a fabulous sex toy raffle, featuring incredible toys donated by Godemiche, Zumio, Hot Octopuss, LoveHoney and many, many others. We’ll be drawing the raffle on August 11th, tickets will be £2 each and you can enter as often as you’d like! Check out Amy’s post for a full list of prizes and details of how to enter.

WRITE SO MUCH SMUT

Last year, I set myself the challenge of writing 6 blog posts but was only able to complete 5 in the time frame. (All my posts, including a number of photos, can be found by checking out the ‘Smutathon’ category.)

As I didn’t finish last time, I’m going to stick to a challenge of 6 BUT I am going to specify that at least two posts must be fiction. I’ve been struggling quite a bit with writing fiction this year so I think it’ll be a good challenge for me.

I also pledged to post an erotic/nude photo for every £100 raised last year. As I’m hoping that we’re going to raise MUCH more money this year, I’m going to raise that limit to £250 so you’d better get donating ?

Of course, I’m not the only one writing so do follow the other talented writers (Exhibit A, Coffee and Kink, Hannah Lockhardt, Confess Hannah, Love Lust London, Jayne Renault, and Eve Ray) and keep an eye on those important hashtags!
