‘Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.’

You know how I like a challenge? This may be the greatest challenge yet…
Sex-blogger Coffee and Kink has come up with a brilliant writing challenge that is also an opportunity to raise money for charity!
I am so excited about this event, and also a little terrified at the prospect of the frenzied, pressured writing that will be necessary on the day. My blog posts usually take several days each – planning, writing, hesitating, and editing before finally publishing, but this challenge needs me to write and publish many, many posts in the 12 hour challenge window. Oh my!
Here is C+K’s description, taken from her blog with permission, of what the Smutathon will involve…
What: A group of intrepid sex writers – bloggers, erotica authors, sex educators and more – get together for 12 hours and write like mad things, each with their own personal challenge of words to complete, stories to write, chapters to finish.
When: Saturday 1 July 2017, midday – midnight.
Where: Our house! Exhibit A and I are hosting the in person meet up in London, UK. Online for anyone else who wants to participate but can’t get to London. There will be a group Skype chat throughout the day (and during the build-up) and we will all live-tweet at #Smutathon2017.
How (to Get Involved): Donate! Share on social media (using hashtag #Smutathon2017.) If you’re a writer and want to participate, just email Coffee and Kink at coffeeandkink69 (at) gmail (dot) com (use ‘Smutathon’ in the subject line and she’ll prioritise getting to your email.)
Please note there are limited spaces at the in person meet, and we have the right to refuse any guest to our home. Remote participation is unlimited, or you could host your own meet!
Oh my gosh, I can’t wait!!
Now I just need to decide what my personal writing challenge will be. What can I do in 12 hours? 20 flash fiction stories? 10 blog posts? 5000 words?!
Watch this space…
